AV::Create is a design and consultancy firm created by Michael Calder to fill a serious gap he discovered in the Audio Visual industry. Many hotels and live performance venues were relying on engineers with limited experience in the "Real World" - Michael has over 10 years experience in the corporate audio visual and theatre industry, working in some of Australia's largest venues and for some of Australia's largest AV companies.

AV::Create can act as a client representative - taking your requirements, translating them to a comprehensive scope document and liasing with builders, integrators and designers. AV::Create can also take your requirements and take the project from conception through to completion and user training. Whether it is a new building, a renovation, a repurposing or even an abstract concept, Michael can help your aims be realised - ensuring that the design is future proof, versatile and will fit your needs both now and into the future.

Michael is a licensed rigger, experienced in Audio, Video and Lighting systems, has extensive knowledge of networking technologies and AV control and automation systems - so you can be sure your project will be designed with safety and quality in mind every step of the way.

Case Study: Westin Perth

Brand new 5 star venue in the heart of the Perth CBD

Michael wrote the initial AV specification for the Westin in Perth. He was also involved with the initial design consultation phase, where it was then taken over by the builder, where Michael acted in a minor consultancy role when required. Towards the end of the project, the client bought Michael back on board to work for the builder to ensure that the design was correctly installed, comissioned and handed over. Michael also took on broader duties, looking after many aspects of the services commissioning for the hotel - including security, lighting control, RFID uniform management and IPTV systems.

Ensuring your project is correctly documented and your design brief is comprehensive is key in a successfully delivered project. AV::Create will ensure that you are provided with comprehensive design documentation as well as commisioning and use documentation with our own inhouse O&M's system.

Pricing and Payment

AV::Create follows a simple rule - transparency. Upon recieving your request for services, you will recieve a proposal, detailing hourly, daily or weekly rate for services, with an estimation of project duration.

If the project is located remotely and travel is required, you will be advised approximate cost per trip, and then a final costs will be provided prior to travel occuring.

Small project work is billed upon completion with payment within 14 days of invoicing. Larger project works will be billed fortnightly.
